The date: April 11, 2015. The church: St. Joseph Church. The stage was set for a beautiful day and Jessica and Philip were the stars. After meeting with Jessica and Philip, I knew this day was going to be fun, and when Blake and I got there, we weren’t disappointed.
Jessica and Philip decided they didn’t want to see each other before the wedding ceremony, so we started the afternoon with Jessica and the girls next door to the church where they got ready. Jessica was so calm and relaxed (at least, if she wasn’t she hid it well!), and it wasn’t until she was completely dressed that you could notice the nerves setting in. I always love it when bride and grooms decide not to see each other before hand, because when I went to the church, I found Philip and asked him how he was doing to which he responded, “I’m excited!” and I told him he had a very beautiful bride coming to see him and he got the biggest smile. By the way, I loved everything about Jessica’s ensemble. Her dress, her veil, the headband, the jewelry, it all came together perfectly.
Their ceremony was fairly short and personal, and then we all jumped on the party bus and that’s when the party broke out. Jessica and Philip, you and your friends are awesome. Blake and I had so much fun shooting around downtown with you all before heading to the reception at Bainbridge Hall. Honestly, working with this group was like hanging out with a group of old friends. Everyone was so friendly, and I ended up knowing a few guests and we even saw Katie and Nathan!
Seriously, how gorgeous is this girl?
Jessica and Philip, thank you so much for choosing me and Blake to shoot your special day. We had such a blast and we wish you happiness for many, many years to come! To see all the images from Jessica and Philip’s big day, check them out here.
