The date: April 11, 2015. The church: St. Joseph Church. The stage was set for a beautiful day and Jessica and Philip were the stars. After meeting with Jessica and Philip, I knew this day was going to be fun, and when Blake and I got there, we weren’t disappointed.
Jessica and Philip decided they didn’t want to see each other before the wedding ceremony, so we started the afternoon with Jessica and the girls next door to the church where they got ready. Jessica was so calm and relaxed (at least, if she wasn’t she hid it well!), and it wasn’t until she was completely dressed that you could notice the nerves setting in. I always love it when bride and grooms decide not to see each other before hand, because when I went to the church, I found Philip and asked him how he was doing to which he responded, “I’m excited!” and I told him he had a very beautiful bride coming to see him and he got the biggest smile. By the way, I loved everything about Jessica’s ensemble. Her dress, her veil, the headband, the jewelry, it all came together perfectly.
Their ceremony was fairly short and personal, and then we all jumped on the party bus and that’s when the party broke out. Jessica and Philip, you and your friends are awesome. Blake and I had so much fun shooting around downtown with you all before heading to the reception at Bainbridge Hall. Honestly, working with this group was like hanging out with a group of old friends. Everyone was so friendly, and I ended up knowing a few guests and we even saw Katie and Nathan!
Seriously, how gorgeous is this girl?
Jessica and Philip, thank you so much for choosing me and Blake to shoot your special day. We had such a blast and we wish you happiness for many, many years to come! To see all the images from Jessica and Philip’s big day, check them out here.

We shot a friend of Callie’s last year so I was so happy to get a referral to work with her! I was excited to shoot my first ceremony at Canopy Creek, until this one I had only shot receptions there since it opened two years ago. Marci had a couple ceremonies so I was a little jealous! It’s beautiful there, It’s simple, I love it! We actually have about 5 or 6 weddings scheduled there for this year. I think my favorite part of shooting with Callie and Travis was getting to go downtown with them for a couple hours and mosey along the streets just shooting and laughing with them and their friends in the wedding party. It was a perfect day for a February wedding, just a slight chill in the air but all the love kept everyone warm. I absolutely loved the cloak Callie had, it was her grandmothers and she looked beautiful in it! What a great couple! I met Erica through a friend who’s one of our most favorite DJ/MCs, Brian Harris. Got to meet Mike at the session for the first time and I have to say I just loved shooting them together! They’re like peas and carrots, they just go together. Got some great shots in all my favorite little spots and one I don’t get to go to much, the maroon wall. Went well with their outfits and their wedding colors! See you guys again in a few months for the big day! Click here to view all the images and share them on Facebook. -Nick

Got the great pleasure of shooting with Stephanie and meeting Jake last week at their farm. Jake is an old Chevy lover like me and a really nice dude so we hit it off, Stephanie is as nice as they come so I already liked her a lot. We got to roam around their family’s farm for a couple hours and work with all the great old trucks and barns. Great session! Sooo looking forward to October guys! Sandy left me the nicest review on the Knot this past week. She was the bride I got to shoot at the last minute when their original photogrpahyer had a nasty spill in the parking lot and had to be rushed to the emergency room! A big thanks to Wendy, her briedesmaid and a past bride of mine for the call and the small talk to catch up before asking if I could come to the rescue. 🙂 I will honestly never forget working with you and Oliver Sandy! -Nick Read the review here.

What an Amazing couple! I’ve known Philips family for years through mutual friends so I was pretty happy when I heard Philip was getting married. Even more excited once I met Audrey, his soon to be bride. They are so cute together! We met at Carrillon Park and got to see some of the new Brewery – Neat place. Then headed over to his family’s house to get some shots out of the golf course where they like to take long romantic walks. It was a fantastic session – Looking forward to June even more guys! -Nick Click here to view all the images.

I met Sara an Aaron though a mutual friend, Shawn, at All the Right Tunes. He’s one of the best DJ’s out there and I can’t wait to work with Sara and Aaron that much more since I know they’re going to have an awesome reception! We got to meet at the Greene for their E-Session at the end of October for a few photos around there and at the Pub where they had their first date. After that we had a few shots with the leaves over in Kettering. Thanks for a fantastic session Sarah and Aaron! See you guys in September! -Nick Click here to view all the images
