This was just one of THE COOLEST weddings we’ve had in a while! Sarah and Eric got married at Carrilon Park and Lauren, Marci and I we’re the lucky photographers. I remember seeing the photographer at the other wedding reception that was happening at Carrilon and saying: “He’s got photojealousy!” Because he wasn’t with my wedding! We had a blast walking around the park and using all the awesome backgounds, and I just couldnt have asked for a more fun wedding party. Sarah and Eric did a wonderful job putting their creative touches on everything, and those wine bottles were a huge hit – the talk of the evening! I just love love. I’m glad too, because it would be a hard thing to shoot weddings and hope the bride and grooms weren’t in love. The past few months I have been a bit overwhelmed with all the love I’ve been seeing at my weddings. I really hope I didnt just overlook this love when I was shooting all those years prior to this one but it seems like it just jumped up and bit me this year. Everyone has their own opinion of love, some of my favorites are: “if you can put up with her family, that’s love!” “If you don’t start to hate eachother after a week long vacation, that’s love” I will say it just like Forrest Gump: I’m not a smart man, but I know what love is.” and to me Love is when your eyes well up and that lump in your throat comes back when your groom walks around the corner to see his wife. I’ve been able to be a part of so many great love stories over the past year, and I have honestly been moved by the love my clients have for eachother – gives a single guy hope 🙂 The year is almost about to wind down for us, wedding wise we have 2 weddings a weekend until November and about 8 for the year after that! As busy as we are and I still want to do more – I think that’s love too!! -Nick

Ellie Morgan my Goddaughter came in last week for her first year birthday photos. Man, It really doesn’t get any cuter than this! But the real reason I wanted to share these particular photos is these are actually her first steps. Shooting as much as I do it’s easy to forget how much photos can mean to my customers and how much they do mean to me. I’m a single guy, no kids, no pets, and most of my friends live in other states as well as my family. I’m really glad to have the McElroy family as my surrogate family, theyre always there to brighten my day. I met Mike right before his wedding to his beautiful wife Cheryl in 2001. We worked together and have been friends ever since, He helps me out alot when we need another photographer and I help him when he needs it. (shot a car wash grand-opening outside in the middle of February with a wind chill of 10 degrees, that’s friendship!) The thing I like most about them is thier 3 amazing Children Michael, Camryn, and Ellie Morgan. I’ve enjoyed watching them grow. I love being with them, chasing them around and hearing them laugh, the laughter of those three kids makes a whole week of work and frustration just dissappear, It is truly my most favorite sound in the world. I was more than honored when Mike asked if I would be Ellie’s Godfather, mostly because of the jokes I could make with the movie refrences, but more so because being a godfather was on my bucket list. I just felt like it was a chance to be a part of something great. Well during her session last week Ellie, Morgan to me, actually took her first steps while I was photographing her here at my studio. Talk about being a part of something special! How neat is that! You can see the lttle steps in the images above, she is soooo adorable. I’m glad someone is always there to remind me how important little moments are…. -Nick

OK, here you go Amy! They’re up! (She’s been texting me all week!) Amy, Jordan and I got together Monday nite at the Greene to have some fun and take some shots for their Engagement session. This is quite possibly my favorite engagement session ever. I will refer to this one as the WEEEEEE-Session, It was super fun! I think we laughed the entire time. They didnt hesitate to do anything I asked them too, maybe a little hesitation with the fountain, but it all worked out in the end and I couldnt be more proud of my own work. Thanks Amy and Jordan, I love the pics! Let me know what you think!!

Donna and Bob had their wedding back in February and we were lucky enough to have the pleasure of working with them again when they brought Mason, their son in for a session for his first birthday! We had a great time catching up and playing with mason, He’s got such a personality, Ladies beware! I just love doing portrait sessions with my B&G’s we get more and more of them every year which is one of the reasons were expanding our studio this fall – More on that soon! Enjoy the show, and leave some comments for Mason. – Nick
