The Sarcasm Emoticon

You know I can be pretty sarcastic, duh! But did you know that I had no way of expressing sarcasm when I was texting or emailing my friends and clients? Well I do now, I invented the sarcasm emoticon! Its easy to use: Just tell someone something witty and sarcastic and follow it with a colon and and an exclamation point, and if that’s too hard for you, tough :!

Jen and Brian

Jen and Brian got married last weekend in Lancaster and one of the coolest little spots for a wedding we have ever been to! When you’re at a location like that and you have so much to work with and a bride and groom like Jen and Brian the images just make themselves. We all just had a blast!! Thanks Jen and Brian! Norma and Jacoby

Now how about that! I must have thought that a dozen times at Norma and Jacoby’s wedding last week. The had to move the wedding to a church because their original plan was to have it outside – beautiful day, no clouds; How about that! We left the reception and went to a cool lottle park on the outskirts of Greeenville for some of the most amazing backdrops we’ve had in months: beautiful images; Now how about that! Lauren and I actually got home while the Sun was still out, We didnt know what to do with ourselves; How about that!! What a great wedding Norma and Jacoby had, we just couldnt have asked for more! Lisa and Burt

Lisa and Burt were married in Downtown Wilmington at a beautiful little church just like you see in the movies. We had a perfect day to shoot with just a touch of wind to keep us all cool. My favorite part of the day was walking over to Wilmington College at the brick and stone sign and spending a few minutes just with the two of them. We got some really cool shots – completely worth the walk! Thanks Lisa and Burt, It was a blast! Click on ‘Find a Wedding’ to the left and don’t forget to leave your comments below – Nick

September 11, 2008

Today is the 7th anniversary of the attacks of September 11th, 2001. This morning as I left the house I hung the American flag on my house that appeared in my first blog posting on July 4th, 2008. As I rasied the flag over my porch I couldn’t help but notice the cool crisp air and the beautiful morning was just like it was 7 years ago. In an effort to reflect on the moments that have so impacted us all Lauren and I we’re able to visit and photograph our experience of ground zero. The images we created will be available for purchase at our Shooting for the Soul fundraiser that will be held soon, with every penny of the sale going to a Non-profit that ensures a college education for the children of firefighters lost on September llth.
