Gretchen and Josh in Tipp City

I get the pleasure of working with Gretchen and Josh this coming May.  Gretchen’s friend Stephanie, who’s wedding we also shot, passed our name along to Gretchen.  Though it did help she was in the wedding so she knows exactly what to expect from us!  This was an awesome session in the first big snow we had for the year.  Tipp City is a great place too, so much to work with!  I love the old car, though Josh wasn’t a big fan.  He got cut by some broken glass while he as being a gentleman and clearing a seat for Gretchen.  Well the photos were worth it Josh, hope you’ve healed back to normal! Julie and Will’s Christmas wedding in Cincinnati

These two are so cute together.  The first time I talked with Julie was over the phone.  I specifically remember her telling me: “We just want to enjoy ourselves and have fun!”  I said that would be no problem with me!  We had a blast playing croquet in Ault Park during their E-Session and we had just as much fun at the wedding. We started at Julie’s house in Mt Lookout a block from the Church and two blocks from the Reception.  Certainly the shortest trips I’ve ever made to shoot. They had the perfect sign at the Redmoor to welcome their guests too.  Their wedding was the 21st of December, the supposed Mayan End of the World date.  So being the great cuple they are the made it into a joke and put “Julie and Will: The end of the world as we know it” on the sign – if that wasn’t just perfect for it I don’t know what would have been.  It set the stage for a great night and fit them perfectly, they wanted to have fun and we certainly all did.  Thanks Julie and Will!  Marci and I had a blast and I know your guests did to!  Thanks for a great day! – Nick

Courtney and Stephen in Dayton at Carrillon Park

What a cool couple!  I was so glad that Courtney and Stephen picked us for their wedding.  Not only are they just about the nicest people you could ever ask to work for they’re also a riot!  Best comment of the day was from Stephen.  We were shooting the two of them just after their first look, We asked Stephen for a quick kiss for Courtney, they did and Stephen kept going.  I said “ok, thanks” he kept going “We got that one Steve!” I exclaimed to which he replied: “I got my own agenda!”  That was classic!  Blake and I were laughing about that one all day long.  We had a ton of time with them and thier wedding party, which was great cuase we did have to deal with a little rain in the middle of the day.  No bother at all though, we went to Ladder 11 and hung out with a few drinks.  It was great to see them enjoy their time with their friends, Hecl we even enjoyed the time with them too!  This was only the second wedding I’ve had on the bridge at Carrillon Park, which is suprising since I’m sure I’ve shot over 100 weddings there over the years!  Great pick guys!  Thanks for having us at the wedding, You and your frineds and family were amazing to work with!  Now get to picking the album shots, I want one for the studio!! -Nick

Awesome seeing you guys again, Ali and Jeff – Jack is the coolest little guy we’ve had in the studio since my kid (I’m partial!) -Nick

One of Carleigh’s friends told her about Shooting for Soldiers.  I love that the friends are getting involved too!  We met out in Centerville for a few with her Daughter Larkin and Her bear Eli. She named her bear after the Soldier we shot these for, Eli.  Thanks for letting us share these guys! -Nick

Laura and John’s E-Session

What a fun couple!  We must have shot 2 hours at least, they let me take them wherever I wanted to go, and we hit one little spot they wanted to in Oakwood.  Laura and John are one of the cutest couples I’ve met.  I get to shoot with them this June which I know will be a blast, the E-Session sure was! -Nick
